Here are some of the lovely people I met at the Open Mic session hosted by Helen Ditchburn at Somerville club in Bristol. Get down there for a superb evening's entertainment, better still take whatever instrument you play and join in.

SOUTHWEST FOLK Richard Riley is a singer / songwriter many of you will know him from meeting him the Old Down, The Somerville Club, Wookey Hole and St Bonaventure’s. Richard has now set up a website at http://southwestfolk.freeforums.org/ You only have to register to post messages, anyone can read messages. If you register you can also upload your gig diaries, photo’s etc. There’s also space to sell kit and find musicians etc. Most of all it’s a space to announce your open mics, talk about issues that affect us all etc. Eventually it is hoped that it will become really useful for everyone involved in what is one of THE healthiest folk and acoustic scenes in the country.
