Starting Out

On the assumption that you can play an instrument, write songs and sing, the latter is not  necessarily essential, there are some fairly basic and not so basic things which need to be considered and done by you. 

As with any other business if you want to make it and be successful (whatever your definition of that is) then you must be committed to you career path and learn your trade.

The music business is not an easy path to follow, but it is enjoyable and rewarding

Before you embark on your journey to fame and fortune or just a living in the music business bear in mind the following Do's and Don'ts which will help you:

DO have a good personal attitude - no hissy fits or dramatics!.

DO think positively about yourself and what you do.

DON'T blame anyone else if something goes wrong, 99.9% of the time it is your own fault.

DON'T act like a prat.
