Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis has been used for many years as a way of allowing people to make positive changes to their lives. It is also used as a way of managing pain, anxiety levels, phobias, habits such as smoking and specific areas such as trauma or bereavement.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses practical, modern
and well researched strategies to help people make significant, positive
changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time. Working with Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, we look at
what the client wants to achieve rather than on the problem(s) that prompted
them to seek change.
The approach focuses on the present and future and not on the past. The Hypnotherapist asks the client to consider their preferred future, for instance, what would be better if the problem had improved? What would have changed? This enables the client's possible solutions to become more apparent and worked towards.
Hypnotherapy can be successful where other therapies are not. It works by bypassing the conscious mind, where our logical thought processes take place and can have a positive impact in many areas. The following list is an example of some of the areas that can benefit:

What does it mean to be hypnotised?
To be hypnotised is simply to be in a relaxed state of mind and body, so you have moved into a 'state of trance'. You do this many times a day, when you drive a car sometimes or when watching TV, It's very similar to a daydream and your are fully alert and in control during the session.
How will I feel whilst hypnotised?
Some people find it surprising how normal they feel during hypnosis, they simply feel comfortable and relaxed. You will be free to move in your seat or remain still throughout and be able to answer questions should you wish to.
How do you hypnotise me?
It will be explained to you how to relax, something most people find surprisingly easy once they understand the basic principles. Then it's similar to having a story read to you, simply sit back, relax and listen.
Can you make me do anything I don't want to do?
The simple answer is no, a hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything you do not want to.

How much will it cost?
Each session lasts up to one hour and costs £45 per hour. Smoking cessation therapy is a one-off session lasting 1.5 - 2hrs and costs £100.
