Music Support

 

Recording  Facilities -M²S is able to provide bespoke recording facilities for solo singers who use backing tracks or an instrument, so if you need a demo CD to show off your talents we can put your CD package together for you, contact us and find out just how reasonable our prices are. Alternatively we can also come to you.

Community Music - We work on the principle that music can be beneficial for anyone including the less able bodied and disadvantaged people in many areas such as increasing self-esteem and confidence, group and social skills, eye/hand coordination, physical control, communication and memory skills etc, as well as sheer enjoyment and fun. We also work with Superact! to help deliver workshops and SEPE courses.

Guitar Tuition - As with any instrument learning to play it takes discipline and understanding, M²S offers one to one or group guitar tuition to all age groups beginners to intermediate. Our courses have also been used by Somerset Adult Learning Centres for adult education and have proven to be very effective. (Group courses of up to ten students normally run over a ten-week period of 2 hours per session).

Music Industry Consultancy - It is very rarely that you will get advice or help regarding your career in the music business from fellow musicians unless you are at college studying a music / Music Technology course or are a member of the Musicians' Union or similar organisation.

M²S provides a consultancy servioce which advises and assists musicians, performers, writers, and students working in all sectors of the industry across all genres on all aspects of their career including performing, presentation, management, publishing, agents and DIY routes. To that end we have developed a set of comprehensive information sheets looking at various facets of the music business from a singer / songwriter point of view, entitled "A Career in Music?" It is a no holes barred view of how you might approach and what to expect when working in the music business.

 

In addition we provide the following support:

• College Visits - Visiting lectures, presentations on various aspects of the music business.

Modern Jive

Brian Inglis is a qualified LeRoc modern jive teacher and member of the LeRoc Federation and UKA (The United Kingdom Alliance of Dance Teachers). He runs LeRoc Modern Jive Dance Classes which are held on a weekly basis at the Old School Rooms, Station Road, Congresbury, N'Somerset BS49 5DX, providing the opportunity for people to learn to dance modern jive which is an exciting and stylish modern partner dance, it also has the benefit of providing good exercise in a fun way.  Private tuition, workshops and teambuilding events are also available.

 

Hypnotherapy

Jacqui Inglis is a qualified hypnotheapist who has trained with the Clifton Practice, Bristol. Hypnosis has been used for many years as a way of allowing people to make positive changes to their lives. It is also used as a way of managing pain, anxiety levels, phobias, stage fright, habits such as smoking and specific areas such as trauma or bereavement.
